Faith-based professional counseling to help you walk through the tests and trials of life
Seek help, find hope
Our mission:
The purpose of Rooted Hope Counseling is to provide high-quality professionally trained therapy services that are grounded in Christian convictions and effective in supporting people on the path to emotional, spiritual and relational health. All therapists are state-licensed and experienced in working with diverse populations.
Our Pledge:
While we operate as a for-profit counseling practice, our purpose is not about making money. We want to have an impact on the mental health and stability of our local community. In order to fulfill that purpose, 100% of our profits are donated to help people recovering from addiction, incarceration and homelessness in Washington County. Check out our non-profit partner, Nehemiah Community Development, to see what you can do to help!

Your Questions, Answered
Do you accept insurance?
Currently, we are an out-of-network provider. In the future, we are planning to be able to bill directly with insurance providers. For now, we are able to provide you with a receipt for sessions, which may allow you to receive reimbursement from your insurance company.
How do I know if my counselor will be a good fit?
For most people who are new to the counseling process, it is important to talk to the counselor first. Chemistry and personality fit are really vital. We are happy to schedule a 15-minute phone call to answer any questions or concerns you may have about the process so you are able to be comfortable going into the first session.
Is this Christian Counseling?
Our Christian faith is the foundation of what we do and it informs our approach to therapy. Our view of the value of people and the power of healthy relationships is rooted in our conviction that Jesus came to Earth to save even the most insignificant person by our standards. However, there is no requirement or expectation that a client must agree with our convictions to benefit from quality counseling services. If you are a Christian, you can feel comfortable that we understand your faith and can support you in integrating that into the therapy process. If you are not a Christian, or you have experienced hurt from churches in the past, you can expect that your beliefs and boundaries will be respected and you will receive the same high-quality professional care no matter what you believe.
